The Mission of the African Methodist Episcopal Church is to minister to the spiritual, intellectual, physical and emotional needs of all people by spreading Christ's liberating gospel through word and deed. Our Ministries of Evangelism are an extension of our outreach and in-reach programs. Outreach programs include the Weekly Community Feeding program under the auspicies of the Women's Missionary Society, Women's Empowerment Ministry and Free Tutorial Program. In addition, as a leader in the Berkeley community, St. Paul is host to numerous community groups including, Town Hall Meetings with Mayor Tom Bates and District 3 Councilman Max Anderson, Supervisor Keith Carson, Assemblywoman Hancock and Representative Lee, and the City of Berkeley Mentall Health Initiative Faith Based Forum, and the annual Berkeley High School African American Studies Department, Celebration of Excellence Ceremony.
