2010-2011 CONFERENCE YEAR

OVERVIEW:
When you help someone who is loss and they are so grateful, then you realize that God IS great and you are spreading his good will. That’s all that matters.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
· With the help of our St. Paul Family, we distributed 25-30 bags during our annual Thanksgiving giveaway.
· We continue with the Christmas giveaway with enough donations received to give out 25-30 bags of food.
· Members attended all California Conference Executive Board Meetings, Area Meetings and the Wrap-Up meeting.
· Members attended the WMS Fundraiser “Evening with the Stars” held at Allen Temple as guest and hostesses. The singing was wonderful.
· During the cold March season, we open the doors of the church and fed the community hot soup and sandwiches. We also gave away toiletries of soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, face towels and socks. There were also bags of groceries available to those who wanted them.
· In July, members joined with other churches in the Bay Area for our Annual Walk-A-Thon, which was held at Lake Merritt, in Oakland.
· Our members send cards and make phone calls and visits to our sick and shut-ins. Served meals and assisted the bereaved families in our church.
· Our Tuesday Feeding Program is run by a host of dedicated members and friends- feeding the bodies and souls of the homeless and those down on their luck. Members donate paper supplies to the feeding program and sometimes even buy the meat so that our guest can have a fulfilling meal, which for some is the only one they will get that day. The Cason family has joined the other cooks Brenda Jackson, Zee Anderson and Geraldine Harris in providing a fulfilling meal to those who are fighting to make ends meet.
· We hold our monthly missionary meetings on the 3rd Saturday of every month. We fellowship and study our PME lessons along with taking care of Mission’s business.
CLOSING REMARKS:
I want to thank Pastor White and the members of St. Paul AME Church who have been great supporters of our society. I also wish to thank my Missionary Sisters for all their support and encouragement. But most of all, I want to thank God. He has never let me down. And I don’t expect He ever will.
