Sistah's Chorus Rehearsals - January 10th and 17th at 7:00 pm. Our guest Psalmist and Musical Director for this years Women in the Faith Conference is Sister Leslie Loren White.
You are cordially invited to the First Annual Community Breakfast celebrating the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr on January 16 from 7:00 am - 9:00 am at the Hotel Shattuck Plaza Ballroom, 2086 Allston Way Berkeley. Tickets are $20.00 per person.
St. Paul's Second Annual Women in the Faith Sistah's Conference will be held January 21 - 24. The event will kick off with a Prayer and Community Awards Breakfast held at the Hotel Shattuck Plaza on January 21 from 9:00 - 11:30 am. The dynamic Rev. Dr. Donna E. Allen is the keynote speaker. Tickets ($50. each). We invite you to join us in Moving Ahead in 2012: Pressing Toward the Goal (Phil 3:14). "Moving Ahead With God's Spirit in Worship", Rev. Dr. DeLishia Boykin will be the guest preacher at the 9:30 am worship service on Sunday, January 22. We will continue in Reflection, Worship and Revival on Monday, January 23 and Tuesday 24. Service will open at 6:00 pm with an Hour of Reflection facilitated by Rev. Ann Jefferson and followed at 7:00 pm by An Hour of Revival, with Rev. Dr. Boykin as the revivalist.
January 28 at 10:00 am Renovation Committee Meeting. If you signed up on November 27, 2011 to be a part of this committee, this meeting is for you. If you are interested in the renovation of St. Paul Church facility, this meeting is for you. Solid steps are being taken, as we move to upgrade, maintain and re-purpose our church facility. Your presence is requested.
January 29 at the 9:30 Worship Service, a special Gospel Jazz Worship Celebration will be shared. This shall be an awesome worship event and we look forward to your prayerful support.
Pastor's Bible Study meets weekly on Wednesday's at 6:00 p.m.
From the Missions and Welfare Commmission. St. Paul is now a member of S.H.A.R.E.S. (Supporting-Humanities-Arts-Recreation-Education-Sports in our Community). Each time you shop at Lucky's, SaveMart or FoodMax and have your card swiped, St. Paul AMEC will receive approximately 3% of each puprchase on a quarterly basis. See Sisters Geraldine Bell, Brenda Molano or Laura McDonald to get your card.
The Men of St. Paul meet the 2nd Saturday of each month and are inviting all men of the church to attend. The Men of St. Paul are encouraging the young men of the church to attend and provide input for the scheduled events for 2012.
General Budget Fund - Annual Conference. Each member is asked to give $300. per year to meet our General Budget for African Methodism. It is broken down into two payments of $150. given in Feb-Mar and July-Aug. Now is the time to make the contribution.
St. Paul AME Church Sunday Worship Schedule - Worship Service on Sunday Mornings begins promptly at 9:30 am. The Church School begins at 8:15 a.m.
Pastor's Bible Study is held Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. - We are beginning a new study on the Old Testament Book of Jonah. Young Adults you are specifically invited to be a part of this Bible Study Session.
St. Paul Youth Choir Rehearsal - every Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
St. Paul FRESH YOUTH NIGHT - every Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
Dear God, please bless and protect our young people. Let's remember to encourage and support them. Let's also remember to support our students who are away at school, let them know their church family loves them!
